PB Products No Escape Longshank Hooks

PB Products No Escape Long Shank Hook is probably the best hook for fishing in open water conditions. This hookmodel, also known as a benthook, has received a lot of criticism during the last couple of years. Is this criticism justified or not? In our opinion this hook will damage the mouth of a carp no more than a conventional carp hook. You just have to use this hook the way it should be used.

Never use this hook near snags where a hook and hold approach is required. Secondly never use it with a long hooklink (15cm+) as this aggressive hook will certainly hook deep in the mouth of a carp where it can cause damage to the carps mouth. When the No Escape Long Shank Hook is used in combination with a short hooklink (10cm-) and a long hair (1.5cm between hook and hookbait) it will always hook just in the bottom/front of the mouth. There is no better place to hook a carp. We advise to fish this hook in combination with a parabolic, forgiving rod. Just like the other PB Products hooks the No Escape LongShank Hook has a black nickel finish.
