Our aim in offering this limited selection of attractors is to help you customise and amend previous recipes of your own or to make slight personal changes to our own base mixes. It would be all too easy to go over the top and offer dozens of assorted products, but our research has shown that the following three additions to our product list are ideal for increasing attraction and palatability, aiding digestion, and boosting nutrition to encourage long term attraction to your bait.
The three products come in 300g tubs, sufficient for 24 mixes at the lowest recommended level. We suggest that there is also considerable potential in more elevated levels, and as much as 50g has been shown to be effective. The three products come in 300g tubs, sufficient for 24 mixes at the lowest recommended level. This is one of the greatest carp bait ingredients of all time, a true classic that has been responsible for the capture of literally tens of thousands of carp. It’s been around for years and shows no sign of losing its dominance as an integral part of a huge number of base mixes. Though there are a couple of pale imitations around, ours is the genuine concentrated original product containing peppers, spices and the highly acclaimed Carophyl Red.
Pure Norwegian kelp is harvested and dried before milling to this fine, strong smelling powder that contains all the key trace elements that carp require for optimum digestion. It is also rich in vitamins and minerals and our research has shown that carp readily respond to its underwater pulling power. Kelp Powder is used in the production of many of our own base mixes, including BFM and The Four Seasons Mix.
This one came out of darkest Cornwall where Ken Townley used it extensively for five years before passing on his findings to us.
The product comes as a dry granule which is allowed to dry naturally so as to ensure that none of the key trace elements are denatured by processing. It has a very distinctive smell and taste and after the boiling process the granules turn to small jelly-like specks in the finished bait. These give your bait a very unique texture and taste, allowing it to be more easily identified.
It is also rich in vitamins and minerals which are as vital to carp as they are to us.
